I'm not sure what it is about black and white

I seem to be fascinated with the different values of light. Ever since I was a kiddo I have adored black and white photos. So much drama so much mystic, yet in another light you seem to peel back layers of individuals to expose their true selves. When a shoot is done in black in white there are no fancy colors to hide behind, its just your subject the shadows and the light. I am far from being where I want to be with my B&W photos, I adore photographers such as John Nelson that can express their art almost entirely in unbelievable black and whites. So here are to all the greats that I've studied and learned from. Hopefully some day I can be more like you!
